#1. List Of Items Banned From Middelsbrough Crypt Venue.

It’s been a bit of an overwhelming weekend at the Swn festival in Cardiff, with Hotel Shampoo winning the inaugural Welsh Music Prize for best album of Welsh origin.

There was a strong and varied shortlist of albums. Huge respect to everyone on the list, you can see all the nominated records here:

The trophy is really cool and shaped like an old VHS tape. I’m happy to hand it back in a year if the organisers want a World Cup style scenario. There’s plenty of room for engraving a load of winning albums on it!

New Wibidi single, ‘What Gets You Home At Night’ produced by Strange Village Productions – Daf and Cian from SFA. And SFA friend and percussionist Kris Jenkins.

Wibidi, well known in Cardiff as a radio dj, has also completed his debut album for Strange Town Records. Co-written by Wibidi and SFA’s Dafydd Ieuan.
It also includes a cover of Bolan’s Life’s A Gas.

It’s called Tigerbaby and is out October 31st.
