In Loving Memory of Les Morrison

It’s very difficult to articulate the huge loss of Les Morrison right now, but in the meantime we can safely say that amongst his countless talents he was; a dear husband, father, grandfather, foster carer, songwriter, musician, producer, charity fundraiser,
Studio and label boss, director, sound engineer and technician. He was a tireless friend and mentor to countless musicians and producers not only in Bethesda and Wales, but with his exemplary social skills and unflinching spirit of adventure, he befriended and touched peoples hearts the world over. Thank you Les, we will never forget.

ROYAL WEDDING CANCELLED

Thank fuck for that.

Royal family observers were left aghast this morning at 3am GMT when representatives of the IMF, The World Bank and The European Central Bank stepped in to relieve the world’s people of a dated feudal ritual designed to keep the proletariat down and give the kids a general life long inferiority complex.

Press Conference

According to an I.M.F.E.U representative, during a high pressured press conference in the duchy of Lichtenstein, ‘In this time of hardship, with the U of K teetering on the brink of liquidation, the undertaking of a reckless, large propaganda event leaves market forces no option but to intervene. Much as the British government deemed it necessary to invade Libya, so we must to step in today’

Overjoyed!

‘Thank Fuck for that’ said a passer by, when the announcement was made, beamed as it was into one of those Dixon’s electrical store window displays via some satellite news channel to Queens street, Cardiff.

Gracias Ambulante!

Huge thanks to The Ambulante film festival for bringing Separado! To Mexico.
Here are some photos from an outdoor showing in Guadalajara, note that even the street dogs are getting right into it!

Epilogue

Last month I was extremely worried about some friends who live in the north of Japan, it turns out they were ok, but I was touched by a very personal and moving film by Aeneas Wilder, a Scottish artist who lives in the north of Japan. Who documented his attempts to locate some friends who’s houses were destroyed by the Tsunami. It gives a different perspective from the often impersonal news coverage. Here is the link to the video.

If anyone is reading this in the north west of Europe and has been alarmed by events in Fukushima you can join the campaign against building a new coastal nuclear power station at Wylfa, Wales, by clicking on the PAWB campaign button at the anger management section of this website.

Donations to the Red Cross Japan can be made here.

Huge Salutations to My Friends in Japan

Amid the crisis and confusion of events following the Tsunami a few weeks ago it was agreed by all concerned with organizing my tour to Japan that it should be cancelled. At that point the advice given by the UK government was not to travel to Tokyo. I can only apologize if it seemed like an over-reaction.

In any case, huge apologies to my friends in Tokyo and Osaka, I hope you are all well, and I hope I can come to sing some songs for you really soon.
