Spectacular launch night announced.
The Hotel Shampoo organisation announced a special opening party this morning.
For one night on Sunday, February 13th, Hotel Shampoo will take over the world renowned Gresham Hotel, Blackpool, England, for a concert and party featuring special sets from Gruff Rhys and Y Niwl, with DJ H Hawkline on the wheels of tin.
The Gresham hotel is to Welsh Pop what the Hilton, Las Vegas is to Elvis & co. It was opened in 1988 by the most successful Welsh language pop duo of all time, Tony ac Aloma. Having sold tens of thousands of records in 1960’s they fled Wales to avoid the pressures of fame and set up The Gresham as a venue where they could play in perpetuity, welcome their fans and invite other popular Welsh acts to perform.
It is therefore a great honour for the Hotel Shampoo family to be allowed to perform at this hallowed venue.
We have a very limited number of tickets available for the 50 capacity ballroom at the Gresham.
